Islam and modern days Criticism
It is clear that in many Muslim societies that we today observe, there are frequent violations of human rights. These include lack of freedom of expression and therefore the difficulties in fighting corruption, particularly state corruption. It is the duty of all to promote the common good and to prevent corruption in society. This is the essence of the principle of enjoining what is good and forbidding what is evil.
Muslims today must develop ways and means to be able to work together to ensure the right and the ability of citizens to point out any wrong doings and safeguard the public good.
